Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd - Terms and Conditions

  1. Payment Terms

Non-credit account customers

On receipt of a signed booking form you have entered into a contract with Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd.

An invoice will be raised and full payment of should be made a minimum of 5 working days prior to the agreed course date.

Credit account customers Our standard credit terms for account customers are 14 days from date of invoice.

  1. Cancellation and Postponement Policy In the event of your cancellation the course, the following fees will be applied: 3 Full working Days: 50%

2 Full Working Days: 75%

1 Full Working Day: 100%

All cancellations and postponements must be notified verbally in the first instance and then confirmed and received in writing by Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd.

  1. Late arrivals/missed sessions

If you arrive late for a course or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. To conform with Health and Safety Executive requirements for statutory certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory.

  1. Unforeseen Circumstances

On occasion, unforeseen circumstances may require us to cancel a course. In such circumstances you will be given as much notice as possible and either a free transfer to another course date or a full refund of fees paid.

  1. Safety of Course Participants

Cognet Occupational Safety and health Ltd will take all reasonably practicable measures to ensure the health and safety of participants whilst in attendance of any course. Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to participants' personal property or vehicles whilst attending the course. It is the responsibility of the course organiser to ensure that any venue chosen meets necessary Health and Safety requirements and that fire procedures etc. are explained to participants at the start of the course.

Video and any other recordings of courses is not permitted without the prior written consent from Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd.

Reproduction of any course material without the consent of Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd is not permitted.

  1. Confidentiality Statement The material and information (together called the course content) provided to you during this course is confidential and is the property of Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd. The course content is not to be copied, reproduced, or adapted in any format or used for any other purpose, including, but not restricted to, the presentation of skills training courses or similar forms of training for third parties. The obligations set out above shall not apply to any part of the course content which subsequently enters the public domain. Signing this application form constitutes your compliance with the terms of this Confidentiality Statement.

Course organisers must incorporate Cognet Occupational Safety and Health Ltd confidentiality statement in any application forms they issue to participants.
